As far as I can tell this has nothing to do with the original song. Form and instrumentals aside the ethos and message is simply not the same. If you interpret "tribute" to simply be "paying homage" to a great band, I can dig it. I think it's a really interesting song but it literally has nothing to do with the original Is This It version of The Modern Age.

you can interpret that statement however you like,but if you listen to wolfe's music,it is dark and heavy,she made the cover her own style..which is what a cover is.a cover is not about making it sound exactly like the original,in that case i would just listen to the original.If you listen to Deradoorian, Austra and Owen Pallett's, etc. covers,they are completely dif genres as well.If you want to listen to covers closer to the genre listen to 'is this indie',the brazilian tribute to is this it.
