I get the point of everyone saying Ceremony evolves and stuff. Their transition fits them a lot. After Rohnert Park, we knew the band changed direction and was tired of hardcore. It's just that after such a solid punk/hardcore release that was Rohnert Park, our expectations were really high and Zoo just didn't deliver. It's a good punk album but it's still their weakest release. This is the new Ceremony, people need to deal with it. Bands change, it doesn't mean everything they make is as good..

You've never seen them live obviously Niklas... I think most venues these days have chairs for you to plop your old posterior down. Check em' out some time;)

I am too old to think this music is novel or exciting .. sounds much like the some of the stuff we used to listen to in the 70's and early 80's ... sorry for saying so ...

Figured i'd jumped the gun. i'm not going to convince anyone here and vice versa.Of course it isn't anything like I.L, but not for the better. V.V is amazing at first but it gets old after a while, all the songs start to sound the same and when the rush is gone its a bland album. S//NS is more intense & nihilistic, even after multiple listens. Ceremony is a jack of all genres whereas I.L have perfected an art. Its fine to change styles, but that doesnt make it good. Dont care 4 CBK or moshcore.

Im going to be blasted for this. Everything they have ever done is mediocre. Anything this band does another band can do better. Violence Violence? Sexless//No Sex by Iron Lung Rohnert Park? Cruising & Still Cruising by Slices Still Nothing Moves You? Obreon by Snakeface Zoo? New Brigade by Iceage (also on the Matador label) People want to like this band, fine, im not here to tell anyone they are wrong but as far as im concerned they are a hype band. Listen to those above albums instead.

It's not that I don't want Ceremony to evolve their sound, they SHOULD change overtime. It's just their new stuff is not very innovative, it sounds generic.

What got from the video was that she was going through everyday life as a typical housewife and she found an escape from her reality but that's just me haha

Ceremony is my third favorite band of all time, despite all the changes. I welcome the new sound, violence violence was amazing, and so is the new stuff. 'Nuff said..

It's not called selling out when you sound better than you did before and when you still arent even very big. I saw these guys last night and they were awesome and full of energy the got the crowd moving big time. This song is a step up from the mediocre hardcore they were making
