This song was co-written by Tony Green & Cindy Valentine and originally recorded by Cindy for her 1987 album 'Secret Rendez-Vous'. Excellent tune and it's interesting to hear the two versions. C.C.'s a better singer than Cindy (who goes flat on the high notes), but IMO the original has better backing vocals and instrumentation. Cindy also whispers the rap portion and says some of the words at a different pace. "Hide your feelings baaaaaaaby" vs. "hide your feeeelings baby." Hers in on YT too.
