Thanks for the reply, I get the delay part, its the actual attack of the notes, it sounds like he's finger tapping it or something! Run like hell is a great tune also :)

It's called 'Slapback'. Get a delay pedal and set the delay time to match the tempo of the tune. Then you can play in 4ths or 8ths and have the delayed note fill in the gaps and double it up to 8ths or 16ths. It's a simple trick, but quite effective.
