There are over 400 versions of "Laura".I have never heard one I didn't appreciate.I do not compare them,though I admit my favourite is by Julie London.Perhaps it's because to me,they pay tribute to Gene Eliza Tierney,"the face in the misty light"the most beautiful of all.Ms.Simon gave us her own heart felt take on the song to be cherished with the rest.
