I first heard this song on the radio. I said wow, who it that? It wasn't until I heard the George Duke song Love, with the Frank Zappa solos, that I put a name with the song. That silky smooth voice on the introduction. I agree with push555push this track makes me cry now that he's gone. I said similar on facebook.

I love the drum sounds they got back in the 70's. you don't hear this condensed sound anymore.. everything is big and open sounding. then again you don't really hear much funk anymore.

I think I hear the sample at 3:51 and 3:55, but I don't exactly know how Preem flipped that sample. Sounds nice Correct me if I'm wrong about the sample location.
