what kind of drugs do you think he's done? I've read almost all his lyrics...he's a very deep creature but I think drugs have had a major influence on his songs

Crazy how one band can be so unknown and yet so influential. It makes sense if you really know these guys from back in the 90's.

The drummer is really good. I really believe that a good drummer is a sign of a band emotionally (or someway) connecting to it's audience.

This video is a valuable record of a passionate, ingenious, and independent band at their best, unadulteratedly expressing what's inside of them.

Cap'n Jazz was emo before some douchebag ruined it by labelling it "emo."

I have seen them (20+ times,) and I did cry... more than once--but in the good, cathartic sort of way. Just raw and totally honest... To date I've never experienced anything like the raw emotional release that was Cap'n Jazz, on their home turf, in front of a crowd that really "got" them. These videos, while the performances are pretty good, don't show you what you really need to know about this band--they all draw on the crowd, and what we got in Chicago back then was ten times more special.
