Can we all agree, Canibus is a lyrical GENIUS.The Lyrical KING. Seriously. His intellect is actually frightening b/c he's not just being verbose and convoluted to impress people, he's constructing metrically PERFECT multi-syllables with 5, 6, 7, syllable words. His use of alliteration and metaphor is astounding; he manages to draw together science, history, and sociology all into his punchlines while keeping them perfectly coherent. He really had the ability to be one of the greatest rappers ever. As it stands, he's STILL one of the most brilliant lyricists to ever live. Eminem would slap you in the face if you disrespected Canibus in front of him; as lyrical savant himself, he KNOWS how devastatingly original Canibus is. I dont even think Eminem can rap like this (he has the technical ability, sure) if only because he doesn't possess the kind of historical/scientific nomenclature Canibus has."Much less understand it/ i make tightrope walkers at the circus lose they balance when i kick the planet""With a verbal chemistry punks can't understand/How Can-I-Bus kills a man with less than 10 lyrical milligrams""ITS LIKE EXPLAINING COLOR TO A MAN THAT WAS BORN BLIND, ONE OF A KIND, I HAVE DIVINE CHROMOSOMES IN ME, MY SPERM WILL SCRAMBLE THE EGGS IN A WOMAN'S OVARIES" (drop the mic). Freestyle or written, canibus is still one of the best MC's ever. Because regardless if it came off the top or not, the lyrics were still created by him and only him. Canibus's worst written is 10 times better than any other rappers best freestyle.
