Frankly... This isn't very good... The female vocalist is virtually at death's door trying to get any sound out and her voice has no melodic timbre in it at all... Compare her to Linda Thompson, June Tabor, Kate Rusby, Mary Black, Rachel Unthank and dozens more who have rich voices ... The song arrangement and playing are tedious and uninteresting.... I can see why Caedmon failed to stimulate any real following and why they were consigned to the bin marked "failure"... Sorry.. It's depressing as I've just been listening to Fairfield Parlour who I don't really know either and they sound wonderful.
