I've done some research. Its about Steve Plunder one of the three original members of the band who killed himself for some reason. How ever another original member Andy Lewis killed himself due to a bad gamberling addiction which is what Blow Up The Pokies is dedicated to.

To put to rest any rumors, this song is about an ex-member who killed himself, he had a very bad gambling addiction. It's about watching this good friend destroying themself and their life.

i don't know if there's sheet music (its likely), but the chords are Gflat major, Aflat major, Bflat minor the whole way through pretty much, then Dflat major at the "you can't afford it now" bit, If that helps - playing the basic chords and singing along can be awesome fun :)
