I never found this song depressing. It brings me back to a time when I felt so unsure of myself and everything and everyone around me but I was reassured with love. My former boyfriend introduced me to Buckethead by first playing this when I spent the first time in his house. He told me about how whenever he had a worry or ever felt sad he'd play Electric Tears and he'd go fast asleep forgetting all his problems. I remember cold winter nights spent under dim lights falling asleep on his chest to this song on repeat. I remember humid summer days while it was pouring out trying to hold onto the moment that felt like it would end too soon if I over thought it. Now that it's all over I just try to remember that although I get a little sad when I listen to this song it brought me amazing memories of someone I held dearly in my heart. Because of the meaning it brought then, I feel secure whenever I fall asleep to this song.
