("The Wish," was eventually on Tracks (1998), a four CD compilation that included 66 songs.) His mother must be very, very proud. He took her to the Academy Awards when he won, Best Original Song, for "Streets of Philadelphia," but his Dad, who *very* strongly discouraged him from a career as a muscian, stayed home. When they returned, his father said, finally, "OK, I was wrong."
