Can't believe Emily's 40 now. She totally came off as being like 29.

My interpretation: It's easy to hate or be jealous of someone and justify that hatred with superficial reasons that satisfy that part of our brain that seeks to judge and belittle others, either to justify our own flaws, or to illuminate the faults of others to better our personal standings. Pathetic. That being said, It's likely an anthem for high schoolers or written in the perspective of one. Sadly, some adults never grow out of the envy state. We ridicule those that we are jealous of. That is a trait independent of age. This song relects the worst in us, the petty, and the manipulative, who require a beta group member to ridicule in order to feel some semblance of self esteem.. Or perhaps I misinterpreted, and this is merely the words of a jilted woman voicing her very obvious dislike for the new object of her unrequited flame's desire. And she uses this song as a forum to unburden her demons. We all have demons.Or perhaps all my rants are wrong. But that is the true beauty of art. Our interpretations of it is the reward, intentions are subjective and ultimately irrelevant. Take a piece of it, and try to feel. If its cold, move on. If it cuts into your interior life, learn from it. Or at the very least, admire its craft.

Actually, at the end, Emily says "I miss my friends." Which is so cute and endearing because it's not often she gets to perform with Leslie and Amy and Kevin and Brendan and the whole BSS crew together like this. Kevin actually is the one who says "it pays to have good friends," later in the show. But yeah, Amy is a part of the BSS crew and a dear friend to Emily. It wouldn't be the same without her! Now all they need is Lisa because she's an awesome BSS gal too!

Couldn't hear anything under the incessant cheering and wooing from the audience, why can't they shut the hell up and enjoy the music?

Loved when the wind started blowing. Made Haines, Feist, and Millan look like the 3 goddesses of Canadian Indie Rock.
