"My LIfe in the Bush of Ghosts" really has stood the test of time and is one of the best albums of the 80s. Can anybody name any better? (King Crimson's Discipline comes to mind... but not many others.)

The song "Jezebel Spirit" from the excellent album "My life in the bush of ghosts" by David Byrne (Singer and guitar player for Talking Heads, too) and Brian Eno, using the very disturbing sounds of an exorcism.Brian Eno has influenced many musicians, not only with this record. But the way in which sound samples were used on this album, was different from what I had heard before and has for sure influenced thousands of DJs and remixers who started using samples instead of singers as the main voice of the song.#brianeno #davidbyrne #mylifeinthebushofghosts #exorcism

Pretty pretentious and idiotic to have a Rolling Stone reviewer claim at the time that the use of the exorcism "trivialized the event."

Brian Eno and David Byrne from their album 'My Life in the Bush of Ghosts' ... the voices in the background are from a recording made in New York and said to be an actual exorcism of a demon from a young girl

It was funny in '81 when music journalists had a problem here describing that religious origin vocal tapes were irritating them, now 30 years later we know it's totally different. It hadn't anything to do with religion but with development of modern music

This was also the initial theme for Channel 4's American Football - minus the vocals
