Appreciate the sound and smoothness. Ageing with grace like a fine Napa Valley vintage.

Amazing. In the original he had numerous filters and layering on his voice. This is pure, and a fine example of poetry and beauty in music. Plus, that guitar work is impressive, especially while tearing up the vocals. Very cool.

He's singing and playing guitar and before he could concentrate on just singing. He's as good as ever

I'd disagree. I think in his youth he was probably a worse singer technically but could hit higher notes, a case of damaging his vocal chords. But having seen him live 5 times in the last 2 years, his voice is better than ever and sounds strong live.

I can see where you're coming from, but I can't agree. The Wild Ones is an exquisite and very delicate song that lends itself to interpretation. This version is different, but still beautiful and can be intensely felt.

... it always was hard... he is not a good singer... it was all about the image in my opinion... and the reason for the success of the songs is 99% due to Bernard Butler... I'm a fan of the band and part of my youth is defined by them, but when you see this performance you have to admit that this man is an average musician at best.

so lovely... but I wonder if it's hard for him to hit those high notes anymore...
