Bram van Sambeek (1980) is principal bassoonist of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, a position he has filled since 2002. His playing has made a deep impression on both audience and critics: Gorgeous bassoon solo in Ravels Alborada del Gracioso, The Guardian wrote, and the NRC praised: Bassoonist Bram van Sambeek demonstrated his great soloist class in Heitor Villa Lobos Ciranda das sete notas.

Listening with "bassoon ears" Great ,nice dark soft sound.You are better than most of us ! Listening with "universal ears" Still good -a lot of feelings and expression -but the dynamic rhytmical thread is not enough present. It´s like a nanny singing a handful "goodnightsongs" for me -but there is no thread making /giving the WHOLE thing a meaning. You have to give it a meaning to make it really good -a line that goes from the start to the end. I know you can because you are talented. !11 years ago
