William Shatner played a great part. In 1982, Shatner reinvented himself. Type casting from his Star Trek days could side lined him. The Wrath of Kahn came out that year BUT Airplane 2 The Sequel was also released the year. Becoming a pattern of comedy of not taking one's self to seriously. His Dry humor really set the stage for the rest of his career. "WE BETTER GET TO THE TOWER LIEUTENANT " we have no tower sir. "NO TOWER ?" just a bridge sir. "WHY THE HELL AREN'T I NOTIFIED ABOUT THESE THINGS !!! " (classic)
