1973 at Orpheum Theater Minneapolis MN. What a great concert and it was in the "early days" my favorites for sure. But he is just rolling on , like Old Man River... Fantastic artist and he had all of the best sidemen of course. Duane Allman, guest! not a sideman..... RIP Duane.....

I saw Boz at The Springfield Civic Center in 1977. The Little River Band opened for him.

Yep, my Senior year in high school. And right, about plenty of airtime in San Fran Bay Area. Played this tune with a pickup band in 1978 in San Diego - tenor sax and flute.

Memories of my senior year in high school in the early 70's when this song was on the radio and the time cupid struck me with his arrow for the first time and opened my eyes to a pretty girl.

of course the first Boz Scaggs tune I heard. Love his use of the brass. Smooth

Saw Boz Scaggs 40 plus years ago as the middle act at the Fillmore East (opening act - Elliot Randall and Randall's Island, headline act - John Mayall) John Mayall could've sat that one out; everyone wanted Randall's Island and Scaggs to keep playing.

your right on target with this post, the funky chords--and it's long forgotten that this was his first pop hit.

One of his best the one that started it all. What I loved about this and still do is the aspect that this song came out in 1971 but had that 1967 feel to it. I love the retro sound of it.

His first and BEST hit song!!! Too bad the oldies stations never play this gem of the early 1970's. It got alot of air play in the Bay Area back then along with the follow-up single from the same album, "I Want To Be Near You". GREAT album cover, too!! Boz was really 'BOSS' back then!
