in 1976 when "What can I say" was released, it was so big here in Melbourne. All the discos were playing it. It was an anthem of a new generation. Great artist. Love you Boz

My favorite from Down Two Then Left. I also like "Hollywood" a lot, pure glitz.

@CoreaKixx420 HA! I forgot about this post. Still a year later the feelings have not changed. Even better since I posted this I actually saw the Dukes of September show that came to the Starlight here in Kansas City last August! Mike McDonald, Scaggs and Fagen!!!!!! Greatest show I've ever seen, that is until my first STEELY DAN show this August at the same spot!!! "What a glorious time to be free"

@Annamandabella yes, you nailed it on the head. both have that sophisticated jazz-pop groove. both groups utilized the talents of some of the best studio players in music back since the early 70's. you have great taste in music my friend!!!!!!!!

@moparcruisin I consider him one of the greatest drummers of all time. A friend of mine from the LA area said he knew him personally. He said, "did you know he died?" I was totally shocked and deeply saddened from losing a friend/musician I have never met, but still did by listening to his music. That night I dreamed I was at his tombstone to pay my respects. I saw a picture of his tombstone on the internet and it was the same one I saw in my dream. Rest In Peace, Jeff.

I really love this album. Boz considered it his best work. I have to agree with him on that. It did not have the same impact as Silk Degrees, which propelled him to the top, and deservedly so, but is an excellent album with a good mix of jazz, disco, funk, rock, early techno. The opening piano part is so clearly classic jazz from the 40's and 50's. This is pure genius and music at it's finest.
