Faded photographCovered now with lines and creasesTickets torn in halfMemories in bits and piecesTraces of love long agoThat didn't work out rightTraces of loveRibbons from her hairSouvenirs of days togetherThe ring he used to wearPages from an old love letterTraces of love long agoThat didn't work out rightTraces of loveWith me tonightI close my eyes and say a prayerThat in her heartshe'll findA trace of love still thereSomewhere, ooooh, oh[Instrumental Interlude]Traces of hope in the nightthat she'll come back and dryThese traces of tearsFrom my eyesWhoooa, oooh, oh, oooh

@frankd1965 the Barron Knights also did a good version of this as one of their fewer serious songs, it's well worth checking out.

The faint organ background gives adds loneliness to this sad song.

@5362079A The song was released in 1969 by a group called "The Classic IV" Dennis Yost was the lead singer of the group. Johnny Mathis did this song in 1971. other singers include Steve Lawrence, Robert Goulet, Jerry Vale, Tony Bennett & Andy Williams. Sadly Dennis Yost passed way in 2005 or 2006. He wil be missed

I like Bobbies version better than Gloria Estefon! He sure could sing.
