I can see myself driving the Pacific coastline in a convertible sports car listening to this beautiful. I remembered when this song came out! It was on the radio all the time back in 1978.

Hello All, This was a back in the day song!! I called this music period "when we lived in our parents house"!! I noticed in an earlier post that Ms Humphrey commented on the cut Marcus Miller wrote-such irony!! I suggest U google Marcus Miller "Sweetwater Minute interview back in 2012. Marcus [as always] tells a great story how Ms Humphrey got Marcus to play in the studio session at age 17. The great Ralph Mac Donald was producing the album!! At that time-they asked Anthony Jackson to allow Marcus to sit in playing bass!! I honestly suggest you watch the video-it will really blow UR mind!! On a funny note in the interview, Mr Mac Donald asked Marcus if he could read music...Marcus said yes-Mr Mac Donald replied with don't bullshit me now! As they say, the rest is history! I could go on with more information about that period of music.... [Smile]Please enjoy!!!

I often wished this was the single's a-side ("Home-Made Jam" was the lead single). This was penned by Marcus Miller.

This is fantastic Bobbi Humphrey at her funky best. I remember this being the B-side of "Home Made Jam" - they made a great double act as a 7" single, but then the LP came out and I remember taking my pocket money to London to buy the import LP from somewhere in Soho! It was a small shop that specialised in import records... I was 12 years old. I now have the LP on an expanded enhanced remastered fandabedozeee CD! It sounds better than ever

You are all so right. We continue to hear this music as so many people today sample it. That in and of itself is a testimony!

@larrybndc Yes, the music from the 70's IS like no other. The Musicians and the music were so deep, meaningful. We even dressed better back then! When 1980 hit, something changed and I saw it, looked at it but stayed away from it. the 70's was the best...still is.... I'm old school. E

@noiz87 Some say if you remember the 70s you weren't really there. I was in high school and college 1973- 1980 and looking back I can say music-wise it was a golden age.
