Damn i just stumbled upon this song on Spotify, and man Johnny Cash ripped these guys off completely. It's that "I shot a man in Rhino" or whatever his song's called.

call me delirious, but Tommy D is up there with the best male jazz singers of the era. His band leader is dipso, wisecracks in between phrases.Yet Tommy turns out magic like this. Tommy has vocal range, jazz chops timing, articulation, but can still sell the song to the folks on the circuit...love it.

"That is two more payments, and it'll be his..." Ha ha. (Bob Wills joking during Junior Barnards solo)

This was cut for Tiffany transcriptions. Bob liked it so well he wanted to release it as a record. Notice the scratchy beginning? That's from being played so often. Bob eventually recorded the song for Columbia, changing the title to the "Brain Cloudy Blues." He did another version of Milk Cow for Tiffany as well, but it's not as good. Notice the mention of butter? Butter was rationed during world war II, so it was scarce. Thus Bob talks as though he never sees any.

from 1995 to 1945, best country, today,s music is pphhhfftt. except george strait, as long as he is playing oldies in his mix.
