I like me straight roots, heavy organ, bass, rhythm, maybe a bell or 2.But that sound he got on uprising and some songs from confrontation, that byzantine palace sound with the horns is something special. If you compare it to the criteria recordings, the Miami rehearsals, you can hear the more stripped down roots versions which are themselves amazing and in todays world would probably be how the production was focused. I think whoever produced uprising really got it right though, doing away with the rock/reggae attempts and focusing on a more ethereal sound, genius.
