okay something is seriously wrong with the music world right now, and it is that kinetics & one love aren't famous. kinetics lyrics are...wow. so so good. he deserves the spotlight. if you guys like this check out his music video for sign language, the story will touch your heart.

2 Years later, and people are still coming at me for a comment? When it comes to version that blew up with B.o.B, the only elements of Kinetics and One Love's version are the lyrics to the hook, and a bit of the melody; piano and synths. As many covers and remixes are made today, people just need to chill. I'm sure they were honored that Alex da Kid, B.o.B, and Hayley built upon their ideas, and not just 1000 Youtubers doing covers. This group made a song, and then it was turned into a hit.

They wrote their own song. B.o.B wrote his own verses to it but kept the chorus made by Kinetics and the beat made by One Love with slight changes as you said. It was sold to Alantic Records and originally was supposed to be for Lupe Fiasco but he didn't want the song. So they gave it to B.o.B. but all three are very good songs are good.
