This is off Blue Oyster Cults 5th album Spectres (which you should buy), really a great album with a wide spectrum of music.

This song is about 2 rival biker gangs that meet in the desert to "parlay" and end up battling and then the desert swallows them all whole. This song needs to be worked into the Sons of Anarchy show.

It reminds me of a night I was playing in this band when two rival biker gangs broke into war mid set, long story but it was pretty wild including gun fire. As a drummer you have the best seat in the house and I saw the guests ( one MC) tossing empty bar bottles over their shoulders at the owners (the other MC owned the bar) and that set things off.

Just jammin' to it, some sections came out great, some I'm not crazy about but I think the energy is there, all in all its a pretty good take. I like experimenting with this song, sometimes I play it like Albert laid down which is an amazing track, here I'm trying different things with hi hat work and in the bridge. I don't like to play a song exactly the same way all the time, it's real boring.
