I just saw a guy saying Justin can't sing unless he's in a studio. Well, this is as good as the "original" or even better, once he does not have much opportunity to express himself while singing on the clip, but does it on this amazing live version. I'm pround of listening of Blue October because they are truly talented and make real good and deep music. Hate Me is just one of their masterpieces <3

IMO you can tell by observing the vocalist and the way he sings that the lyrics aren't fake. It's like he's almost telling a story. He sings with a lot of emotion, and expresses it well through hand gestures and body language. Very cool clip!
