I saw this band in the summer of 69 in Ann Arbor Michigan Outdoor concert with their wall of Amplifiers.. at the end of the stage performance they put their guitars after strumming a chord.. against the speakers.. strings facing the speakers.. after a few minutes of awful screaching noise the feed back got to be too much for the speakers and they Blew Up.. the cones blew out. shredded paper and end of noise.. *(The "UP" from Asquare..A...A... was there too.. awful band.. loud no class.. ) .,.and I saw Blue Cheer about that same year in Detroit at the Grande Ball Room.. (do a search on that) an old 30's theater for the arts stage plays etc.. Russ Gibb ran that and it had a revival in the rock bands from that area and elsewhere performing on the weekends.. I saw many local bands there that year.. Ted Nugent and his band at the old OIympia Stadium there.. I, and my girl friend were mugged while crossing an intersection, a block or two from the theater to see the Who at another local larger show place.. true...Went to the Michigan's Goose Lake International music festival, in 70...(do a search on that too.) an attempt to re create another Woodstock.. to see ChIcago..*(I enjoyed them the most of all the bands.. ) Iggy Stooge. (Iggy Pop) Bob Seger many others were there.

BC was a great group in its time. Too bad the 40-something cretins who were directing these videos were so damn clueless. The zooming in and out is nauseating.

Always liked Paul Whaley's pushing it forward with intensity. Heard them when they released there first record and Paul Kramer produced there second record as he was Hendrix producer also. Have first and second record on CD.

Tell you what, Steppenwolf, The Jefferson Airplane, The Who, Vanilla Fudge, Jethro Tull, Iron Butterfly...all Kick Ass groups back in the day, but if you really wanted some street cred/freak cred, you dug Blue Cheer, man - they were hardcore. They were even named after some incredible LSD making the rounds back in '66, I think it was....someone I know said to someone I know "drop a tab of Blue Cheer, man - it's far out..." so someone I know did and they agreed, it was far out indeed.
