God, it's staggering. No sign of aging in her voice, not a quiver - she would have been 72 here. Consider the differences between the flash/trash that gets up on stage these days and a real musician.BTW, who can name the song jingle/soundtrack for a TV commercial; that she did in the 60s? ... ... it was White Rain shampoo. It was hearing that special voice and a Stereo Review record review that turned me on to her Sleep warm, Blossom.

I saw Blossom at Danny's three times. She never lost her gift, up until the very end. Her piano playing was still as perfect and odd, and her delivery of a lyric was always as masterful. Even the non sequiturs between songs got better over the years, more mysterious and hilarious. A total artist. Rest her soul.
