I was always under the impression that this song was about Alien abduction. Some of the lyrics kind of point out the meaning "leave in peace and enter space" , "lost in space and down she came" "suddenly some cosmic energy" ,"Down here we stop to wonder, Cars on the freeway, Bright lights and thunder" Unless I missing the whole point. One of my al time favorite Blondie songs. Also like the Commodore Pet computer in the background acting as a Spectrum Analyzer.

When I first heard about that Arizona girl ,Kayla, who was killed and raped by barbarians, I thought of this song. Sometimes I think of Flight 45 or the Bermuda Triangle song and all the missing???? Blondie always makes me happy but there's a few songs that make me fell something else. Their music will live on forever. I programmed music TV and it was crazy, all the calls from teenagers who thought they were a new band. The kids really love them.
