Interestingly enough I find that most of the early Ramones stuff were a bit on the bubblegum side of punk but Blondie's punk material has more bite and seriousness.

By today's standards, you can call them Pop, but ONLY because they were trail blazers and modern popular music copies a lot of what they did. They were certainly NOT Pop in their time. Especially in the earlier albums. They were NEVER played on top 40 stations, even Heart of Glass. You really only heard them on alternative stations. Pop during that time was Hall and Oats, Genesis, Captain & Tennille, The Carpenters, Bee Gees...NOT Blondie. They were American PUNK/New Wave.

*Detroit 442* :- Ok I'm shutting down for a little while as I have loads of photographs to process and "fiddle about" with. I was meant to make a start yesterday but things kept getting in the way and before I knew it the day was over and I had achieved very little.
