That is why she could fall in love so deeply and then she turned into an owl, which is a symbol of the crone, the godess of death. That whole thing says to me that only love can transform you so deeply that one of your part dies. This is all symbolic. If you are afraid of Blodeuwedd then you are not brave enough to fall in love so deeply that it could transform and "kill" you.
