This is one of my favourites because it's like the perfect representation of monotony. Not only the lyrics, which repeat over and over again, but music itself with its simplistic riff and broken-record percussion. It is a song I do listen to more when I'm depressed, but not a very shallow level of depression: it's at my worst when I'm not necessarily sad, but when I literally don't know what to do with myself; I'm numb and filled with a void of boredom that nothing ever seems to quench. This is the song (next to Uniform) I play when people scoff at my liking Bloc Party.

Is it just me, or can this song fit almost any mood, but that mood to an extreme extent. Like an extremely sad movie scene, a really hopeful one, a immensely victorious one, or even a rage-filled slow-mo beat-em-up scene with no sound but this song?

I will never forget the first time I heard this song. I was on a date with an ex-girlfriend as we were just getting to know each other, and we were showing each other some of our favourite songs. As we were walking over this long bridge as the sun was going down, I remember sharing the headphones and listening to this song in silence. It is a beautiful song, and I remember looking into her eyes at that very moment and I knew that I loved her already, and always would. Still my fav BP song ever!
