"Blind from TV on the Radio off the album 'Young Liars', the album cover displayed here.

Lyrics:

I seen a girl

With a guy

With hair like yours

From what I remember

He took her hand

And smiled her name

Her face like yours

She smiled the same

From what I remember

Been so long since last December

She walked your walk

She talked like you

She shimmered strong

She shined right through

From what I remember

I said I seen a girl

With a guy

So who I'd seen

So who am I

Now I can't remember

Been so long since last December

So I'm sending

Up the ladder

To the perfect doorfront

I'm still mighty tiny

Hoping that you'd be my little godsend

Because right now I'll take any and blindly

Before I find another noose to fit us

Before we choose another hand to hit us

Let us ask each other

What's the difference

Because if you save yourself

I'll save you all the time

Open letter to the legiance leering

Ah, we entertained you

Why don't you cast your gaze into the moonlight clearly

Cause my love, my love is a suckerbat

Before I find another noose to fit us

Before we choose another hand to hit us

Let us ask each other

What's the problem

Why don't you save yourself

I'll save you all the time

Because if you save yourself

I'll save you all the time

Now what's to blame

Save yourself, I'll save you all the time

Now what's to blame

Save yourself, I'll save you all the time...

Please rate my video and tell me if there is anything wrong with it. I realize the lyrics aren't perfect, if anyone has a correct version, that'd be awesome.

If anyone has any suggestions for more videos for me to put up, preferably from an artist I've already used, PM me.

This was TV on the Radio at their blissful best. Adebimpe's plaintive voice is chilling.

Some corrections for you: "Open letter to the legions leering," "Why don't you cast your gaze into the moonlit clearing," "'Cause my love, my love is a sucker-bet,"

@ElasticMinds i know. such an unbelievably unique song. not to dis their new album, I respect their shift to happier music, but these darker tones feel so much deeper.

@Chainlinkable I agree it's not really relevant that they were invented by black people, but there were no blanket statements; it is true. Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson did more to further the genre than anyone since Ralf and Florian. More love, more peace.

@ElasticMinds , almost agreed with you until you put race in it, blanket statements like that are ....... needless.

Is this on any movie soundtracks? It seems like it might be a good one.

@ElasticMinds I agree! We need to hear TVOTR in a bad mood so we get more of this dark stuff!

Great song!!! So dark and gloomy, wonderfully put together and just fucking awesome!!! Bands and artist like TVOTR, Destroyer and We Were Promised Jetpacks are truly bringing good music back

@kowtpr187 Detroit Techno and Chicago House scenes were both defined heavily by black people in the early and mid 80s. Of course they were influenced by Kraftwerk, and various other acts such as Tangerine Dream and the like, and then theres joey beltram and frankie bones from the nyc ciricle. So yes in total there was more than black people, and i even forgot i even made this comment like...2 years ago, and im tired but yes electronic music is a melting pot of cultures and influences.

@ElasticMinds Techno was invented by black people? what about Kraftwerk?..I mean thats a pretty bold statement to say that hispanics, asians, white people etc. had nothing to do with techno being invented.
