Blackmores Kingdom-Three songs by Blackmores Night. The rest are by Steve Tilston and Greg Joy from the 1993 album Celtic Secrets!

This is Not Ritchie. It is from a bootleg album called Blackmore's Kingdom-a collection of some of the songs from Shadow of the moon and celtic instrumentals from a completely different artist -I can't remember his name at the moment! Ritchie denied he had anything to do with it!! Abeautiful rendition of this classic English folk song none the less!

None taken, even if you did want to know where I'm from, I wouldn't bother telling you, not you in particular, just any one person. If you follow the message change and pay close attention, I myself did not specifically say 'this song originated so and so'. All I did was defend someone in a rather off the wall approach, I only talk about a random bit of history that was barely related to the discussion, primarily on the mixings on the british isles. I didn't really say anything about the song.

No offence almorto, I don't know where you're from (and not interested), but as long as the origin of S Fair is established by name, rythm and historical events (see the original lyrics) in the early 15-th century, the Celts had no longer anything to do with it, hence, an old English ballad. It's like saying that this song "San Francisco" by Scott MacKenzie is an american indian song.... Really...
