This is Not Ritchie. It is from a bootleg album called Blackmore's Kingdom-a collection of some of the songs from Shadow of the moon and celtic instrumentals from a completely different artist -I can't remember his name at the moment! Ritchie denied he had anything to do with it!! Abeautiful rendition of this classic English folk song none the less!

None taken, even if you did want to know where I'm from, I wouldn't bother telling you, not you in particular, just any one person. No offence almorto, I don't know where you're from (and not interested), but as long as the origin of S Fair is established by name, rythm and historical events (see the original lyrics) in the early 15-th century, the Celts had no longer anything to do with it, hence, an old English ballad. It's like saying that this song "San Francisco" by Scott MacKenzie is an american indian song.... Really...
