I think that Black Symbol were Birmingham based. This is great 12", bought from Don Christie records in the same city. The Bass on this tune used to rattle the windows of the shop. 'Shut de door man please'

The turntable is a 1990's Gyrodec, I've owned it from new. The (more expensive) Orbe came later than this model.

Is that an Orbe turntable? Yes, it does sound so much better hearing these tunes on a high-end turntable. Did you purchase it second hand? I know those turntables are kinda pricey. Thanks for the upload.

@bugstrut It cost me around £1000 about 15 years ago, today it sells for £1600 with the Rega arm. Yes, it does sound better than a 'normal' turntable. Having said that, I'm not sure that the stuff I listen to most - Old Northern Soul 45s and Reggae 12" singles - are the best way to demonstrate the turntables abilities. It really shines when playing 33rpm LPs though, you hear things from those grooves that you didn't even know were in there before.

@buckbumble Sorry, no I don't know of any. I think it's pretty rare, I think it had very limited distribution when it was originally released. I hope you find a copy - it's a great record.

@rooie16 cheers man, don't suppose you know where another copy of this record is knocking about? I have listened to it over and over and over again, it's a real grower. I assume it ain't cheap hehe.
