see, you can interpret this in one of two basically equivalent ways.either it's bjork pandering, and admitting that she's pandering, and making fun of herself in the process of pandering. or it's bjork putting together a collection of songs that are designed for a really good live show, and having fun with herself in the process. either way, it produces a record that is not worth criticizing for pandering, because it's perfectly *effective* at doing what it does. i mean, if somebody stands up and says "listen, i'm pandering, but i'm going to put a lot of effort into it", and the result is legitimately a fun disc, what's the use in criticizing it for pandering?so, sure: it's a little one-dimensional. it lacks a level of depth you expect from her. but it's not a weak record, relative to it's intent.

I'm surprised that I'm not the only one who noticed that the video game "Patapon" was obviously inspired by Bjork's Earth Intruders music video. I use to watch her video a lot back in 2007, & then a year later in 2008 the video game "Patapon" was released. When I watched the trailers & gameplay from Patapon, my first reaction was "Hmm... why does this game look & sounds so similar to Bjork's Earth Intruders video?" =/

I just noticed that this version of "Earth Intruders" totally skips the part about the beast with many heads. I wonder if Bjork and her team purposely left that line out just to make this song "radio friendly" and less controversial (though there is not a controversy with it).
