Wow! I can't believe I found this here. Thanks for posting. :) I tried to find it online a few years ago. My grandmother used to play this record for me when I was a little girl and I haven't heard it since but I always remembered the story told in this song. It does have a pretty good moral, huh? Be careful what you wish for. LOL! :D

I grew up in honky tonks, this was one I would always punch in. I was around 6-7 years old. I could get in any bar with my dad, I mean the real deal Honky Tonk. That was back in the early 60's. There is no more real country music any more just wantabe's. Charlie's shoes was great!
