Billy Thorpe & The Aztecs - I Told the brook 1965 , Billy Thorpe died in Sydney of a heart attack at the age of 60.

Thorpe and his family moved to Brisbane from Manchester, UK in the 1950s, when he was a young child.

He later found fame in Billy Thorpe & The Aztecs and became one of Australias most-loved musicians. He was inducted into the ARIA hall of fame in 1991.
