- Cabinet: DIY 212 cab with cherry plywood. The miked speaker is a Celestion Greenback G12M 25 watts. The other one is WGS Veteran 30 (copy of a Vintage30)
- Mic: SM57 & a sennheiser e609 going to 2 Behringer Tube Ultragain mic 100 preamps... going to a Yamaha MG102c mixer.. going to an M-audio FastTrack pro line in
- Softwares: Cubase 5, superior drummer 2.0, guitar pro 5,2, t-racks 3...

To me it sounds a lot warmer with these cheaps mics 100 preamp. I would say that it had an old school analog tape texture to the sound when tube is overdriven. And i can also understand faulks who are saying it affect the definition of tone.. its a matter of taste. I also use use a mixer for an analog compression set at 1/3. It is not noisy to me. Mic 100 is a good choice to add a sort of vintage 70's texture to the sound yeah.12 years ago

Buddy, GREAT guitar sound! I heard a lot of people saying bad stuff about the mic200 and the mic100. You think it is a good preamp to record mic'ed amps? does it makes too much hiss and noise? And why did you send the output of the mic100 to the mixer? I'm looking forward to buy a cost-effective preamp, and would like to know if that's a good choice. Thanks!12 years ago
