Well, a little surprised so many don't know Marr played on the first release from "Talking with the Taxman about Poetry" along with backups from Kirsty MacColl. (RIP) - Good on ya NYCDude and Lisa. They all worked out the same North London studio (Kirsty sings A New England, Billy does Jeanne in a Peel Session, etc.) Great Artists, Wonderful days....

Johnny Marr also played guitar on the original version of this song, Greetings For A New Brunette, from 1986. This is a alternate version.

so, i was wondering could anything make the original version of this song better? oh, why not add..say, 'johnny marr', then include wonderful editing of a classic? these ideas never actually occurred to me though. other people rock. regards.
