When I was about 16 or so I bought the Big Country album here in San Francisco, so I knew there were other good songs besides the 1 or 2 that got airplay on MTV. Nevertheless, without buying other albums and nothing like youtube back then, it wasn't for more than 20 years later that I finally discovered the rest of their repertoire. Stuart's lyrics, music and the band's passion frequently moves me to tears. I wish I'd gotten to see them live. Thank God there was lots of video shot back then and we can see it all today from our homes. Though, what I'd give to have seen just one show like this one...

I understand I'm in the minority on this but I don't mind the backup singers. The harmonies sound nice when Stuart sings around them during the break down. It's the damn synth I could leave behind. I mean really... does it seem like his noodling fits with the band?

The guys sound beautiful as usual, and hope they won a few soviet fans, but the backup singers are most unnecessary.
