I wouldn't go as far as to say that her self-titled album is the best yet, because let's be honest, in terms of vocals, 4 was out of this world. Her self-titled album was beyond amazing. Yes, she didn't have as many ballads, but her vocals are still on point. Just because she isn't belting every 10 seconds in songs doesn't mean she isn't just as good as she is here. The self-titled album was suppose to be about her doing what men have been doing since the beginning of time and that's exploiting women. They sing about sex and money etc. and never get ridiculed for it, but when she comes out with songs like, "Partition" and "Blow" suddenly she isn't talented. Flawless is about believing in yourself and letting the world know that you're perfect no matter what people say. Pretty Hurts shows that it's hard to be considered beautiful in this day and time if you don't conform to society. If you've seen the video (which is superb) it shows this model going through all the phases to be beautiful (hence the eating of cotton balls, bulimia, anorexia) and the line when she asks, "Are you happy with yourself?" and follows it with yes, is just saying that she is done being what everyone thinks she is, I think her self-titled album was one of her best to date. And for those talking about 7/11, it's a party song, made specially for the Platinum edition. It's for people to dance and have fun to, not to sit and reminisce on your life. Plus, why y'all criticizing Bey, she's doing her dream job, with the man of her dreams, seeing all the world, all while making millions. xx
