This was the lead single off of the "Pink Panther" movie soundtrack that accompanied the hit movie featuring Steve Martin as an idiotic French detective! Beyonce also was featured in the film as an exotic pop music superstar, Xania. Spoiler alert - she is who they are ultimately looking for! :-) Anyways, the song was significant for a number of reasons, most important of all, the song quickly rose up to #1 by early February 2006, finally ending Madonna's 10-week run @#1 with "Hung Up" and was the first song to hit #1 in 2006! Believe it or not, it was also the first and only time that Beyonce enjoyed a long-running #1 hit song too, spending 8 weeks @#1!:-) The song was also interesting in that it was the first time that a song with rap was featured on any "Pink Panther" movie soundtracks. It also seemed to make pink a pretty cool color too that time too. The music video was the EPITOME of February with lots and lots of pink colors and hues (Think Valentines!)! :-) I think it definitely helped the movie's success too! It went on to become one of the Top 5 songs of 2006 and certainly one of the best of Beyonce's music career! It also makes me think back happily on those good days of early 2006! :-) #BEYONCECHECKONIT
