all the comments about how great the 80's were make me smile. It really was the greatest era ever. This song reminds me on when i was about 14yrs old. Probably the happiest time of my life. My father passed away the yr after so the memories of this year are so very special. It's funny how cetain songs take you back to a certain time?

i love belinda carlisle. i remember those fantastic 80's summers listening to her heaven on earth album and this song just stirs up so many memories of long days on the beach!!!! what nostalgia!!!

There's a cute part in Madonna's Truth or Dare where Niki Harrison (another back up singer) is beating on the back of Donna DeLory as a sort of massage, and Donna busts out "oooh, heaven is a place on earth!"... her voice has that "Belinda-quaver" because of the massage. It's kind of an inside joke in the movie, they never explain the connection.
