This is like Hendrix in the middle of an 10CC song. So British , yet has that weird Hendrix abandon and just plain twisting off... The ending reminds me of House Burning Down.complete with the panning, delay and phase shifting ... Is there anyone who has a live version of this? I saw BBD in Buffalo NY, back in the day and they just killed.

Best Album ever with the possible exception of Bowie's Lodger. At least 4 undeniably awesome tracks! This, Maid in Heaven, Sister Seagull and Swansong ! How did these guys manage to evade commercial success lol?

Magnificent! Featuring if I remember thr Grimmethorpe Colliery Band. Music with truely quintessencialy English roots. Played and composed by a master.

I accidentally came across BeBop Deluxe here on YT while doing another search. I can't tell you what track of their's I heard on KUNI's old Progression program as a kid in Iowa, but hearing that motivated me to hunt for their album while on a trip in St. Louis in '79. Bought the album but never heard it. Forgot it at the motel, I think. The motel never found it. Never found the album for sale again, either, or for that matter never heard BeBop Deluxe again on the radio. WondersOfYouTube

I first heard this track in Summer of 74 after coming home from school. I recorded it on my mono cassette player with a crap microphone and the tape run out before I found out who or remembered who it was by. It took me 10 years to find out who it was by lol. Now days it would take seconds on the internet.
