Drop It In The Pocket
This track (and the video) are a masterwork. If you dig "Math Rock", listen to anything from the 80's era King Crimson. It's infinitely polymetric and polyrhythmic. Battles are cool as hell for their textures and atmospheres, and have those hip interlocking lines, similar to KC's vibe. For some monolithic grooves in complex time signatures, listen to Battles' drummer John Stanier's first band, Helmet.9 years ago
