I think the meaning of the video is that, when someone hears hears a rumor.. "It's John's fault that we have to work tomorrow on a holiday", they preach/praise the rumor as if it were the truth.. However, just a rumored lie.

i think it's about people who wish they could put the blame for something they did onto somebody else - or better yet forget it altogether. i think the water is the water of lethe, which is the river the dead have to drink from in greek myth before they enter the underworld so that they forget about their mortal life and can be happy after death. i think the rest of it is a reflection of the social constructs we have in place in society to make it easier for us to pass the hurt on - like how the altar type thing with the mouth in it sort of looked like a punching bag to me at first glance. the mouth that they kiss and drink, and that they text to eachother, from might be just that people's words are often hurtful, gossipy and again, pass on blame.
