Yes Peter, the song does end with his suicide.. If you listen closely to the words of the song, he does exactly as he describes.. leaves his home and walks down a street with no name, into a club called the loser, takes the club elevator to the floor with a view, steps out onto the guardrail, feels a hand on his shoulder and hears a voice say "just in time".. feels the push, felt the air rush, fell in line...

As far as I know the song does not end with a suicide. But maybe it's a matter of interpretation.
