I adore Herreweghe und Koopman too, but this is a fantastic recording. Together with BWV 236 with the Purcell Quartet recording other two lutherian masses there will be bought. Thank you very much for uploading!

I agree completely. Herreweghe et al. are pretty much untouchable in most of Bach, in my opinion, but their recordings of these Masses have definitely been superseded by these by Pygmalion.

For years Herreweghe and Collegium Vocale Ghent was the benchmark recording - but this recording is of a quality which is simply incredible. Breathtaking tempos, athletic singing and playing of a pin-point accuracy and a musical interpretation which enthrals. What a brilliant ensemble and magnificent conducting.

Absolutely STUNNING! Breathtaking! Did I fail to say Exquisite? Perfect expression and enunciation of each note in both voices and instruments, especially challenging for so fast a tempo. Bravo Pygmalion!

C'est absolument magnifique ! Vie, ferveur, musicalité, harmonies... Un disque de référence et un corpus d'oeuvres d'une qualité d'écriture hors du commun.
