Both good choices, but with so many good power metal bands out there, it is hard to include them all on a short list XD I just chose a few :P I would also recommend Pathfinder and Blind Guardian.

I believe they have that special something that sets them apart from a lot of bands in the genre because of that Gothenburg-ish melodic guitar feel (and yes, I'm aware they may not be specifically from Gothenburg, but that sound was a phenomenon at that time)
